ATL World Science Day

"Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge"

On 14.11.2018 Maharaja Agarsain Public School celebrated World Science Day enthusiastically by engaging future scientists in an inspirational talk with Dr Binay Bhanu Das an eminent Academician & Techno-Management Expert Director General Skill Development of FWA and was in DRDO for 10 years as technical director and handled many prestigious projects and steered fundamental research in IITs as member Secy. of Naval Research Board.

The talk wandered from topics of innovating for social causes to inventing time machine. Sir's motivational words stirred in the students a flair for science and a desire to make their country a better place using their skills. The interactive session took place at MAPS Think-o-vation centre, the school ATL lab.

Event began with welcoming of Mr Das by school Vice Principal, Ms Alka Sahani who praised him for his awe inspiring energy and vast knowledge across subject areas. Ms Ritu Gupta school ATL in charge briefed students about sir's achievements in the field of academics and science. He captivated student's attention with his anecdotes based on years of his experience in the field of science and academics and his close association with Ex- President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam while working at DRDO. Students loved to respond to his questions that made them wear their thinking caps and also asked him questions to satisfy their own quest for knowledge. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Ms Ruchika, ATL Coordinator along with Ms Pallavi.

This effort by the school succeeded in bringing two different generation together  and exchange of ideas and wisdom between the two. And as we always say...

Happy Tinkering :)

  1. Thank you for your valuable information on World Science Day. If we talk about the trend then “Atal Tinkering Laboratory” is one of the best contribution to develop the skills of kids.
